Just snapped up these 18" Rays 57F Pro's in staggered fitment (8J /9J) with 35 / 37 offsets, which will be delivered as soon as I get back from holiday.

They need some refurb work done. But providing there's not too much kerb rash, I'm pretty sure that I can polish up the rims with some high grade paper and then send the center sections off to a powdercoaters for a fairly cheap re-coat.

Then it's just a case of getting the 9J's to play nice with the rear arches. I'll be getting them rolled and also running 225 tyres on them for the moment (as I've just bought new rubber). So I reckon the roll combined with slight stretch should do the trick. I could probably also shave a mm or two off the hubs to get me a slightly better offset?

Well I need to get a smart repair done one one of my rims as it got a bit scuffed from the accident I had recently (only cosmetic). But once that's done I will probably be selling them. They've only been on the car for about 4 months, so are more or less brand new.

Regarding the Rays rims. I just wanted something a bit different. I'm probably going to get them done this colour:

Maybe a few shades darker, so they go with the whole moody theme I'm going for on the Lex.

If you stick to the 225's on the rear you shouldn't need to shave anything mate, rolling the rear arches is a better option.the front is going to be the part your goingbto have all the issues with..225's on the front you will have issues I'm running a 215 40 and it still caught the arch!!!now I'm running a 215 35 and so far it's not caught.
Ps I'm using the same offset as you..

Thats good to know on the rears mate. Weird thing is I'm running 18/8 with 30 offset on 225 rubber in the front at the moment. Only time I get any issues is at full lock when i get a tiny bit of scraping.

With the new fronts being 35offset I assumed I would have a little more trouble, but nothing too drastic? Maybe you had more grief because you're lower than me?
