Don't worry about your car being standard, there are quite a lot of owners on here with fairly standard cars, maybe just a few basic mods.
As for painting your callipers, this is a pretty easy thing to do that can make a big difference to looks.
There are lots of walk throughs that people have done over the years I think but as I only did mine last year it was easy to find the thread.

I bought my sport grill direct from my local Lexus dealer, I think it was about £46 at the time but that was a while ago cause it was for my first IS200.
I'm sure once you get the bug like most on here you won't want to stop there though.

The K&N filter works very well mate, most induction kits soak up heat from the engine so all you really get is a bit more noise, when you fit the filter, reset the ecu under the bonnet, You need to pull 2 fuses out for around a minute (EFI and ECTS fuses, fuse box by the battery) it'll let the car relearn with the filter fitted so you should get the benefit out of it pretty quick :thumbup1:

Not a lot mate, you might find your fuel economy gets a little better and you may get a bit of induction noise? i found on mine that it seemed to run a lot better with the K&N fitted :thumbup:
Quite a few IS200 fans on here mate, a lot that can help if needed and all with varying knowledge, we have Lexus Technicians on the site, quite a clever bunch of guys and girls really
