Generic Push Start Button & Proximity Entrance
Generic Push Start Button & Proximity Entrance
OK well this is following on from the group buy here
As discussed a lot of you would like to see this system in the flesh and know how easy it is to install, so i went ahead and got 2 kits, to be experimented on 2 different types of set ups
So here is the good news
they are here in my flat ready to rock and roll
If i get a chance this weekend i will get the push start part of the system installed so you can all see that running the proximity bit needs a bit of research as i have an after market alarm.
If i can however Fit this into mine then all those with After market alarms on any vehicle will be able to do the same.
I will do a full write up and picture install thread on this kit once it has been evaluated.
I pretty sure it can be Oli.
That looks like a lot of hard work to wire in
So is this the proper system out of Toyotas, or is it just the switch and the rest is aftermarket?
Either way interested to see how this progresses
im interested too lets see how this works
Ok well we have success
I first installed the item as single button use
This means that you have to hold down the button in order to start the car (not much fun)
however it worked
I then moved onto the Tach sensing part of the circuit very awkward to program instructions not that clear, once done works a treat
i spotted a down side however without the Keyless part installed the system requires the button to be grounded to activate now if you ground it permenatly, car wont start if the imobiliser is still activated. however i worked a way round this on mine that im sure can be developed on a standard car...
the following is how i have set up and configured in my car this is using an aftermarket alarm and imobiliser. not using the keyless system at the moment.
