Could anyone tell me how to get these undone?? I am sick of having them sat in the garage, and not being able to get them on the car.
I am major skint at the min, and can't afford the 60quid for a new set.
Can I cut the old ARB off to get the bolt undone?

Help please!!!!!!!!!!

just use lots of wd40 and a long handled socket, with a set of mole grips to stop the bolts from spinning for the fronts, the backs just use the socket and wd40. that should do the trick, just be careful not to snap the bolt heads off

I have only just tried to get the back ones off. And they just spin. I have tried to get some mole gribs on, but again just spins. Sad
Anyone got any ideas??
Or is it just a case of soaking in WD?? This is modding on a serious budget!

small jawed molegrips to hold the threaded part of the ball joint, lot of soaking in plusgas or even duck oil, I found this to be just as good.
get the mole grips as tight as you can and then a bit more (be careful when releasing as the grips will be highly tensioned and will spring out and hurt your hand). make sure you have a proper fitting 14mm socket, dont get angry with it

Wicked Phil, is it worth taking the ARB completly off the car to have a crack at doing it?
Might have to bring some tools down to the meet if I can't do it, and bribe you all with sweets or cakes LOL!

also try the other end, see if they come off easier as they both ends have to be undone.
only prob with changing them at a meet is that you do struggle with a seized one and render it useless then they will have to drive home with it in a dodgy condition, I will gladly help you mate and no doubt others will as well
