Hoping to book archenemy to come down my way tomorrow and roll my rear lips ready to accept my refurbed 9J's.

I'm going to clean up the arches tonight and give them a layer of sealant + a wax, but I'm wondering if I should also spread a layer of dielectric grease on the underside of the arches as well to make sure that any water which might get trapped in the rolled lip in the future is repelled?

Sound sensible, or OTT?

Cant hurt i guess, but once the lip is rolled arch enemy will seal it completely, so it shouldnt suffer any water ingress

Ahh fair enough. What do they seal with? I wouldnt want the grease to prevent adhesion of their sealant Confused

They give it a good clean with a wire brush to get rid of all the dirt in the lip.
Then they use like a black silicone sealant for when it gets rolled.
They also heat up the outside of the arch prior to rolling.
So you dont need to do anything , there is no point. you are paying them to do the job and they know what they are doing. I've had mine done for about 2 years now without any problems

Lexus IS200 Mods--TTE Supercharger, Tein Superstreet Coilovers & EDFC, 6000K HID Lights, HKS Silent High Power Exhaust, DBA Front Discs, Kenwood DNX9240 Head Unit, 19" Rims, TRD Kit, FIGS Bonnet Struts, Greddy Pillar Pod & Defi Gauges, TTE Red ARBS . And Been To WIM twice

That's good to know, that's exactly what I did when I rolled my own arches

Well Jim, you managed the innuendo part just fine here too...

I was almost afraid to click the link here in the office... but then I remembered that reading OJC posts was more important than the 800 odd tests I have to run this afternoon Big Grin
