hock:This got me thinking....is it possible to integrate some kind of tilt/motion sensor onto our cars to prevent thieves from towing/jacking our cars?
Just chatting to a mate at lunch and he was telling me how one of his mates came back to his car after work a few days ago to find that some a-holes had actually jacked up his car, unbolted his exhaust and made away with the cat converter!! hock:

Bummer. I would think it's gotta be possible? I mean. I'm no electronics whiz but it shouldn't be more than a tilt sensor like one used in another alarm system and then some other bits to trigger an alarm event (like bonnet lift)?
I'm prolly oversimplifying it tho.

Got to admit I was surprised when I first found out the IS doesn't have a sensor to prevent it getting towed, as most high end cars generally do.
