You can buy them that do wire into the door switches etc.

i have one in my shed to fit,

Any linkys on where you got it from?

I'm thinking that maybe I should get something installed to deter peeps from trying to nick my wheels.

Scrap that - I just bought one of these:

I found a user review on a website where the guy had fitted it to an IS300, so it definitely looks to be compatible. Just need to work out what wires (and where) to tap into on the stock alarm system.

I like your thinking! Semtex is too humane though, need something that will kill them slowly and maybe burn the 'L' logo on their forehead as part of the process :p
