Hello folks, sorry its been a while since I have been around. But I am about to embark on a new project on the rear of my car. respray, new spoiler etc...

I also want to put a reversing camera onto the back, I dont need it but I like my gadgets. I was wondering if it possible to remove the barrel from the lock on the boot. This is where I want to recess the camera as I dont want it sticking out from the bumper etc..

Is this possible to do this without disturbing the release function from the footwell? Im not fussed about the key working or anything like that.

Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

I've been playing with that today, but the unit i have isnt the smallest and has the infrared lights on the side it looks really out of place. maybe I will have to buy a smaller one

Yes you can do it, would need to look at the lock to remember how though

quality, this is just the news I wanted to hear. If you get chance to have a look some time that would be amazing. I had a quick look but couldnt work anything out!
