BOOSST I thought they would be somewhere in the 30K range, nothing worth having is cheap after all :drool:
We are undecided at present on whether to spend 20k on upgrading the 2nd car or.. move house.. :whistling:
I said move house if I am allowed a large double garage :whistling:
Just sold my house got 10K over its real value. I love this economy!!

16-01-2018, 09:16 AM #14I've got a brochure for the ct200 already. I've also got a price list but not through it. The brochure is interesting but I think its a pre release one. I was surprised when I read the power ratings though. Its a 1.8 with the hybrid system and total power is iirc 138bhp only. The engine seems very undertuned for reliability as its only about 100bhp.

I doubt it's for reliability, most likely for emissions and economy.
I have to agree, I know they've done it to make it a "low emission car" but it wouldn't have hurt to have a more powerful version as well, perhaps with the drivetrain out of the HS250h. I'm sure that's still quite economical but would have had more reasonable performance.

As it stands the Ford Fusion Hybrid would be the car of choice between the 2. In the UK though the Lexus will be a winner.

Very nice looking car and I'm pleased to say definitely lives up to the Lexus quality/luxury. They had 2 cars on display, I think 1 was the l-SE in a beautiful dark blue but with a not so nice cream leather interior. I'm not sure what model the other was but it was in a dark grey colour similar to the granite sky, one of my favourite colours, and black leather interior. I did get to try out all the seating possibilities, drivers, passengers and rear seat and although it was quite roomy in the front I did find it a bit cramped in the rear. Boot space is surprisingly good considering the batteries are tucked in there somewhere, I could just about see them in the bottom of and to the front of the boot.
Lexus Cantrbury looked after everyone well plying us with champagne and canapés all evening, you wouldn't expect anything less from Lexus. I didn't touch any alcohol of course as I was driving, I left that to my daughter Sarah :drink:
There was also the chance to win 2 tickets to see Kylie at the O2 by guessing how many balloons they had stuffed into an RX350. Needless to say I didn't win :Sulk:

Totally different at Stockport... Although ontop of the two kylie tickets they gave out £150 john lewis vouchers and a crate of champagne. They had the basic modle (which was horrible. Fabric seats etc, and for a £24k car you would expect a little more than basics?), the SE and the SE-L which surprisingly had no electric seats. SE-L is about 29k and no electric seats?
hock:Aparently the SE-L Premium which wasn't there does have them which is just over £30,000.
Good points, nice looking car and the dials change if you put it into EV or Sports mode (change from rev limiter to power for electric). Nice room in front and ok room in back considering its a small car and also looks quite nice from outside. Although I dont understand why they have chosen the mouse and pointer technology as its pretty difficult to use and it doesn't centre itself back? (Like a joystick and a mouse moves about on the screen. Very sensitive).
