Not posted anything for awhile, so thought that I'd put up as couple of pics taken last night after cleaning the Lex........Not the best quality pics I'm afraid due to the iPhone:

I'm working on an IS-F style grill so hope to have some pics of that soon.

Thanks guys, it's actually a pleasure to clean her ;0)

Yes this was Tango's IS250 that I finally persauded Terry to part with back in December. My old blue IS200 is nearly sold, I'm just waiting to fit two new bushes on the rear before I let her go, got the dreaded grinding when doing a long left curve and when extra weight in the back, hoping the bushes (the ones from the Irish Ebay seller) will sort it out. Funny it sailed through it's MOT with this noise back in October so it wasn't the rear bearings??

Quote: So how are you enjoying your new car Keith?

Well the IS250 is a world apart from the IS200, well it is with the MM system fitted and voice activation, plus this is the auto which is a dream to drive as it's so smooth. So yes I love, only thing I can't get used to is the foot parking brake but I'm sure with time it will become second nature to use.

As I said above I'm working on an IS-F style grill that I bought from the States. I've adapted it because I want to use the Carbon inserts on the "L" enblem, hence making the centre section solid, see pics:

This is the IS-F style grill for the IS250, it's not cheap but the quality is pretty good, obviously copied from the IS-F original and molded into the IS250 fitting.

With the removeable "L" piece, I would say because of the way it has been molded the "L" piece is seperate. If you were using this with the OEM standard "L" emblem you would need to glue this piece in place, but it is a good fitting.

3mm plasic sheet from Ebay to make the centre piece.

Shaped centre piece, filed and sanded with wet and dry, quite easy to do.

Glued in place with two part epoxy resin, ready for filler.

Filler started, more to do then more sanding etc.

In primer after a few rounds of filling & sanding.

Ready for Satin Black and "L" emblem.

Carbon inserts.

That's as far as I got so far, just waiting for the "L" emblems to come, might try one chrome and one gloss black to see how they look.

More pics as I do more.
