Got the wheels back from the refurb shop at the weekend and have spent the past 2 days tapping the M7 screw holes to M8 so that I don't have to pay £150 for a set of bolts.

Although they look good in the pics, there are a few niggly bits that I'm not happy with. In some places there's dust trapped in the clear coat on the lips, and also there is still some pitting on the back part of the rim.

I'm probably going to take them back to see if they can do it better 2nd time round, but failing that I might send the rim sections away to be mirror polished all over for the ultimate bling.

I've found a place called promo polishing. Just waiting for a good day to go and visit them to see how much it'll all cost.

Rims have gone to promo polishing to have the mistakes of the other refurb place corrected. They'll be having mirror polished lips and metallic silver insides.

I've also bought these for the refurb:

GT centre caps, valves and hub rings. Also on order is 80 highly polished chrome bolts for putting them back together again.
