I wants. Gives you GPS, Music, everything I suppose, but just as long as the car can play music through bluetooth, which isnt as good? (Or does it play it through the wire..).

Good idea, as its what, £700, and does a lot more than many centre screens do in cars

Great install work, my virtual hat is off to the guy. As per the previous 'in-car ipad' thread though, I still don't get it. It's a lot of work (aside from the £700 outlay for the 'pad itself) for a screen that is pretty inflexible and very much a closed platform. If you were going to all that hassle, surely you'd want the end product to be open, expandable, reconfigurable? I would, anyway.

I don't really like Android much either tbh Phil, although at least then I could run Torque on it!

Very nice.. liking that a lot, but agree that perhaps an Android pad may be a better option

not used torque but it looks a very good comprehensive app, I have it downloaded but not got round to buying the BT adaptor yet.
What O.S do you prefer

I bought one of the Chinese imitation Ipad's, its called an Apad, very good for the money at £140, sadly only used it twice before the daughter laid claim to it and never to be seen again haha

Got to respect the engineering but I agree not sure I see the point of an iPad - if it was me I'd rather have a windows based tablet (when they finally arrive) that'll be much more flexible and offer the option of adding peripherals.
