Mileage correction
I was in touch with a guy called Ibby on here a while back,but he no longer appears to frequent the forum.
This is quite legit as the current mileage is higher than what is presently on the new speedo.
Can anyone help or point me in the right direction me to get this sorted?

I bought a new speedo a while back, but I need to get the mileage corrected on it to reflect the current and true mileage.

The mileage is stored on a chip on the speedo and not in the ECU.
The original speedo is an XE03. The new one is an XE03-A.
The mileage on the original speedo is higher than what is stored on the new one.
Changing the speedo face won't make any difference.

DaveEdin I think Jay was suggesting that you shift the stainless steel dials across to your existing clocks... then the mileage would remain correct?
The stainless steel dials were from the original (XE03) clocks.
I want rid of the original speedo to put the new (XE03-A) one in, but I need to update the mileage on the new one.
Original speedo=95k
New speedo=89k
I wan't the new speedo to have the same mileage as the original ie; 95k.
