There is always a chance that in time to come I may get another power-train fitted instead, and then all of the work carried out thus far will not have been in vain.

07-02-2018, 10:51 AM #11I don't doubt that 360kgs is a lot to save from a road legal car 1360kg car (taken 440kgs out of an XR4x4 and 390kgs out of an M3 but both were track only) but the fact remains that I am aiming for 150bhp per tonne, so if I get the car down to 1160kgs and 170hp et voila! moke: (or close enough)

I think 150bhp per ton is very optimistic and I don't think possible (could be wrong lol)
If your taking all the seats, carpets, glass etc then why leave the dash and heaters???
Gotta be a fair bit of weight there???
Also remove the aircon, abs system and you've gained a few more kg.
Personally tho depending on what your after I would go a different road.
There's plenty of more powerful and lighter cars out there at similar money.
Are you just aiming for track use as in race, drift, drag etc???
