As you all know I am getting a suoercharger. Now I want some things to with it! I have bought a HKS SSQV and now I am after a larger intercooler ( for aesthetic reasons) but I don't know what size I need to get...

I am also after a boost gauge, is it as simple as buying a boost gauge or do I need something else to run it? I have not got a clue so any advise would be great!

Not wanting to p155 on your parade, but aren't you better going for a medium-ish sized intercooler (if we're talking about an IS200 supercharger)? I always thought that the larger the intercooler, the more lag it introduced and the less power it made (on low PSI applications)?

Could be wrong, but you might want to keep it to a reasonable size, especially as going large would mean you'll more than likely loose the crash bar too.

I had read that somewhere about it losing boost! I'm not talking about massive, as long as it is bigger than the one that comes with the tte kit! Don't want to lose the crash bar or anything like that. Just a bit more visible at the front!

I think both Rabs and Ormi have got slightly larger FMIC's so one of them can probably point you in the right direction.

I'm gonna be a in a similar boat too. Just bought a S/C kit but the FMIC is MASSIVE (almost as big as the radiator) and I wanna take it down to a more reasonable size.

Advice I was given when I got mine is :

Don't go bigger than you need, performance wise and because they aren't cheap!
Don't skimp on a FMIC, get the absolute best you can get for your money
Mounting and pipework can be really unpredictable for fitting and especially if you have bodykit and mods, ideally get the mechanic who is going to fit it to look at the car and advise so they can get an idea where the pipework will go and what you might have to cut up if anything.
Don't forget to tell your insurance, it's a reportable mod.

Yes rabster and ormi both have larger intercoolers. The one you have sounds immense! How much do you know about boost gauges?

Marsdendean ^^The one Moley has are good, but quite expensive. Regarding the intercooler you might aswell get a bigger one just incase you use a bigger pully? I have not cut the front bumper as i like the stock look so no one really knows whats under there!

I'm sure at some point I will end up with a bigger pulley so the intercooler would make sense. The defi gauges are very nice.

is it as simple as say buying a boost and temperature gauge and wiring them in to? or do I need to buy a system to control it! im sure I read it was called an IF unit....
