2. What lighting is it? LED ? How are you driving them and what is the resistance on the back of the boards if led?
3. The top of the lowbeam ring looks like a connector? I for me don't like the connector.
If I can get Rabster or Ian to reply to my email, I will sponsor the forum and offer LED rings that fit and won't burn out.

I can see 1 major flaw with that kit, the rings are seated inside and are thick, they will block light from the headlight and cause a shadow.

First of all mate, if you are trying to promote your product disregarding any other LED rings present on the market, you need to be more sublte than this.
The major flaw you are talking about "the rings are seated inside and are thick, they will block light from the headlight and cause a shadow." I think you got it all wrong. As per my first post, they werent properly installed so I've taken pictures in the interim so I can show people how much different from the CCFL these are. Brighter, better quality than anything out there.

The thing that I really like about these ones is that they have that plastic encasing with a lupe effect that makes the light spread even and it doens't look like Christmas tree in my headlights. And also at a closer look they look very similar with the BMW ones rather than a cheap SMD (LED) round board that looks more like an afterthought. I've used the same SMD board for my taililights (check my DIY).

You can run a safety fuse with them so it wont burn it. I dont like baked beans but that doesn't mean they are not good.

so you can promote your product. Please note that I am not taking offence and I am open to suggestions. But when someone comes up with "If I can get Rabster or Ian to reply to my email, I will sponsor the forum and offer LED rings that fit and won't burn out." that is just a "mine are better than his, I will sponsor the forum if you consider me..." In a way I think it is funny. but :thumbdown: in the same time. I've never seen anyone here, or on any other forum arguing on who's got a faster car or which looks better.

I ask about resistance because the RESISTORS ARE THE KEY here, if they are led then what is the resistance on the back? Pretty simple if you ask me. I for one don't like them because of how bulky they are, I have been playing with that style of RING since 2002 in an is300 light, nothing new here. As for the xmas tree, ya that does suck, takes some getting use to. The only time it bothers me is when they are off, but I have gotten use to them. I am not downing your "find" I am just talking about past exp with these products, if we didn't have conversations about things like this then nobody would ever grow.

It looks way better than CCFL but in the end it will be up to people's preference. The picture might make them look bulky (due to the light output) but they are as big as the CCFL's. They are quite new on the market (the LED/SMD ones with plastic encasing) and I doubt you played with them since 2002 (I and other people would've seen them believe me).
I will post some pictures once the are done. Few more hours of work though...i like the attnetion to details.

You are right. But I'd rather spend 100 and something on rings that look great and are reliable rather than 39 to 100$ on something that will look like stink and the balast will die in 6 months or so (subject to the quality of them).
I am not putting yours down at all mate, and if you remember i even said they look cool and I was interested in getting one but I was put off by:
1. the way they look when they are off
2. the way they look when they are on - too Audi/BMW try hard, too chavy.
3. The reliability. Similar kit I found on internet and they were selling at 189.

Well price is subjective, I could sell these for 200 or 189.00 and be ok with how i feel and what I make, Like mentioned before it's subjective. In reality its a pcb board, resistors, leds, and wires. His kit is the exact same but has 1$ worth of acrylic added. In the states we (lexus guys) have pushed away from the BMW look since they are on every other driveway.
Post some pics, I am curious how they look.
If his resistance is right these should last a long time.
