after deciding to give it a good clean out the car decided that the shock was to much and refused to start!
ticking noise when i turned the key, that pointed to the starter motor.... oh ****** joy of joys! so i did the normal thing, beat the living **** out of it with a hammer!
that didnt work, now im thinking, oh ****! then some one suggest the bat... well i didnt think much of it as all my lights were working fine, the car pc was fiering up, ok be it in a loop of BSOD and restart! FFS! so i didnt think to much about it, but i did try the ol jump off another car just incase it was a little bit to low on the volts to crank the SM fully!
well blow me! i need a bigger bat! :lol:
now to tackle the next load of problems!
I have had the car in the garage getting 2 new tyres fitted, tie rod end, and 2 track rod ends fitted as well as a 4wheel alighment done. all in all a cost of £360
but it was needed! thing is now iv got a knocking/banging coming from somewhere, but only under heavy breaking and under 5mph!now i took it back to the garage and had her up in the air, looking for maybe a broken ARB, Droplink, knackered suspension, lower arms, drive shafts, prop shaft, anything that would give the game away as to why it was doing this! but nothing came to light! other then the fact that im gonna need to deal with the surface rust on the sills! lol
they said i could come in on a sunday an use there 4 post ramp! woot!
tomorrow im gonna be taking all the wheels off and having a good poke around the disks and what not to see if anything can come to light there!
i will keep this updated as to the progress!

my mates old mr2... jesus! i think the only thing holding it together was rust!

on the sills? yeah it is, i had a good poke and scrap yesterday, so its still all good, but i want to get in there now before it it something more then just surface!

anway an update. the super attened japfest as thoughs who attened would of seen.
but what they wont know is on the way home the gear box and tranfer box gave up and i had to be towed the rest of the way.
lucky this happened just as we got off the M4.
so since jpfest she has been kept in storage in a nice dry garage in a secure lock up. and there she will remain for the forseeable future.
this is sort of dampened my feelings towards cars and im not sure what im doing, or even if i want to carry one with them.
i need to think pratical now, i need a bigger car.... maybe another bongo? lets see what funds allow!
but on the up, iv just got a CF cover for both the green VR4 and mine! :lol: and 2 sets of alloys......
there is no hope for me really!
