jimxms I'd be willing to loan mine out as a template if you guys need it.

From what I recall, the ones without the hole are for boosted guys, whereas the ones with the hole and the lip are for N/A guys.

Probably doesn't make any difference, but I think the logic is that the hole allows air from the lower part of the car to pass up and get directed to the intake by the lip.

EDIT: As a side note, don't get duped into buying the Mishimoto ones. They dont fit!

Any guys running N/A need the one with the gap, as it directs all the air into the scoop going to the airfilter. That's the style i've got on mine.

JDM black headlights, rear fog light conversion, JDM size number plates, JDM rear number plate garnish, JDM dash tray, wind deflectors, TRD body kit, white TRD gearknob, TTE lowering springs, TTE ARB's, K&N air filter, stainless steel A/C rings, stainless clock cover, radiator cooling panel, LED side light bulbs, blue reversing bulbs, fan washer jets, clear side repeaters, PIAA silicone wipers, Alpine IDA-X200 headunit, 17 x 8 et40 OZ Ultraleggera with 225/45/17 Toyo Proxes T-1R

I looked at that, and I think that filling the gap will do an equally good job on pushing air up into the intake. I cant see the flap on the altezza version having much of an impact as its so short, the air coming off it will be very turbulent and will slow down any smooth airflow already coming through the gap under the bonnet.

If the flap were to continue all the way up to the entrance of the intake it might be more worthwhile having.

And as there is only one version of that panel available with the cutout (all other manufacturers dont bother) they cant have deemed it to be a neccessary addition.
