Nice idea with the holes in the panel, but I think it may be counter productive mate?

The way i see it, the airflow on the n/a panel goes like this:

(blue) air comes in directly between the bonnet and the 'flap' lifts the air and directs it over the hole into the air intake.

(red) additional air that comes in from the lower part of the bumper and bounces off the radiator (too much airflow) is pushed upwards through the hole in the cooling panel, and joins the rest of the air.

I could be wrong, but with the holes in the panel, you'll be loosing half of your airflow through the holes? For it to really work you'd need both the holes and the flap. Which of course would mean welding on the flap I think.

what you've drawn/explained there is pretty much my exact thoughts on it. which is why I thought the one without the hole was a good idea.

I'm probably just overestimating how much air flow the intake needs, as what it gets from under the bonnet, and from around the sides of the intake should be enough without relying on air coming up from the radiator.

I'll still make both versions available though so people can chose which they like best.

EDIT: The more I think about it the more I think your right about not bothering with the perforated section. As that method wont even divert the airflow from under the bonnet up to the intake, it will just go straight through.
