I really am torn between the matt look and the "normal" look.

For example Nissan GTr's look stunning in matt black, this one is a Marmite car.

totally worn out and broken, shouting 'Holy ****, WHAT A RIDE!'"

There was a Lambo Gallardo outside my office a few weeks back that had been wrapped in flat black. Only thing was the guy had left a strip down the middle of the bonnet un-wrapped with the original glossy black paint showing through. It looked frikkin hideous.

Had he have done the whole car it would have probably looked OK, but IMO there are some cars (exotics especially) that need to be shiny.

The GT-R on the other hand I can see it working on.

I'm not sure if wrapping is the same, but a matt paint job is definitely a pain to keep clean.

I think you need to take everything you know about cleaning cars.....and throw it out the window.

I'd imagine its probably best to wash it as little as possible, and when you do don't use any kind of shampoo that has wax in it (fairy liquid ftw?). Probably use a brush so there's as little friction as possible?

I'd go mad.

Yeah the matt paint jobs are supposed to be a real pain - must be an awful sensation washing it too, like chalk on a blackboard.

But with the vinyl wraps isn't is just like cleaning a vinyl floor - bit of detergent and a sponge, should be pretty simple
