Torques.
Torques.
As some of you know i'm having to sell the Lex for a diesel and I was wondering what was decent torque for a mid sized estate, i'm looking at one at the moment with 136bhp and 206 lbs/ft of torque but want to know if that's going to give me decent pull?
Cheers chaps/chapesses.
Cheers Gord it's a 320 i'm looking at but it's not the 150 which is why i'm wondering if 206 lbs/ft of torques is any good, what would it be like compared to my standard IS?
Andy the lexus is200 puts out a maximum torque of about 144lb/ft at the fly wheel, and about 128 at the wheels, so should give you an idea on the difference :thumbup1:
Right cheers guys just don't want to loose any performance I know the IS isn't great but its enough for me so a 320 should be upto the job, would like a 330 but its more insurance and less mpg which sort of defeats the object of getting a diesel in the first place.
Would prefer the 150 version but do need to sort something soon as petrol is killing me at the moment, will probably only be a stop gap anyway for a year or so as It's got 150k on the clock which is putting me off tbh.
Don't worry about miles on a BMW Diesel so long as its got comprehensive service history.
You can't go wrong with a 320d- only thing to watch out for is swirl flaps, I've they can fail?

Cheers guys I think someones pointed that out already it's just putting me off buying one with such high miles.
