It comes with a soft pouch, a stand for off-camera use, a diffuser dome, a set of colour filters and an add-on battery pack that gives faster recycling times when fitted (= 5 x AA instead of the standard 4 x AA). It works well with re-chargeable batteries.
It is designed for the higher end and professional Nikon DSLRs (D70 et seq.; D100, D2 et seq.) but works just as well with the prosumer models (D40 et seq.), though some functions may not be available. I have used it very successfully with my D200, D300 and D700.
As well as 'normal' use - with a range of modes - mounted on the camera hotshoe, it can function as a commander unit for off-camera Speedlights (with or without providing light itself) and can be triggered remotely by another commander unit, including the built-in flash unit of higher-end DSLRs.
