Folks, I reckon i'll be needing some new tyres pretty soon so that is always a good excuse to do something with the wheels. I reckon i've got 3 options, but i need some help make a decision. It's an is200 btw.

Option 1 - keep on my original 17'' 5 spokes which i've powdercoated in gloss black. Was going to get some 5mm spacers to push them out a bit.

Option 2 - dig out the set of OZ ultraleggeras that i've had in the shed for the last 2.5 years. They are 17 x 8 ET40, and i took them off as the stance looked rubbish with them on due to the cheapo stretched tyres(215/45/17) that were on them. Since i've taken them off, the car has been lowered an extra 15mm, and i reckon if i get tyres that are 225/45/17 it could look better?

Option 3 - get some 18s. Been looking at some Ultralite GTII in gunmetal with a polished lip. Or i like the RX8 wheels that Stav has on his. I'll need to sell the OZs to get money for these, and to make some room in the shed!!

Any comments welcome.

Thanks

Ally

Why not get a couple or a set of part worns onto your Oz wheels see if you can get them to fit with it being a bit lower? Then if it fails get them sold, and go for 18''s?

Update:- Got the OZs out the shed at the weekend and they've not survived being in a shed for 2 years too well. Lots of bubbling and corrosion, so i'll be struggling to sell them....... so i've decided to keep them and get them refurbed. They cost me £800 just over 3 years ago, so i can't justify getting rid of them for peanuts. So i'll be getting some 225/45/17 Toyo Proxes T1-Rs in the next couple of weeks and putting them on. Then hopefully get them refurbed before JAE. Now do i go for gloss black again?...... :whistling:

Shame about the condition of wheels mate. Gloss black seems to be getting quite common now days. Why not get them a bright colour? Make them stand out? Smile
