Slow starting
Slow starting
Just thought I would poll you guys for your opinions before I head to a garage.....every time I start up, it takes a good 2 seconds/2-3 turnovers before the engine fires up. Is this normal? In my previous car (mitsubishi legnum) it fired up practically instantly.
I have replaced the battery and had the alternator checked and all is ok there, so could it be starter/leads/plugs?
Any ideas?
Cheers
Wont be the leads as there is non, could be the plugs though
ever since i changed plugs to ngk iridium plugs it's taken 2 to 3 turns to start also changed the fuel pump a presure regulator so it may be that aswell
I recon the best thing to start wiv is the plugs as they can cause all sorts of silly problems i struggled to get past 145 in the skyline but changed the plugs for a colder rated plug went with ngk and was happy when i flew past 160 lol. Does the car have coil packs as they are a ***** too when they break down?
