Lexusboy Looking good,
Why did you change the cams and did the car feel any difference with the new cams on?

I changed them because they came available at a good price, and wanted a bit more performance too... They aren't just standard cam's, they are uprated, better duration / lift etc... and TOMEI, so keeping Jap of course Wink

Oh and I forgot to say, the cams have made a very noticeable difference, very happy with the outcome. A lot more pull throughout the rev range, nice and smooth too...

I look forward to seeing you guys and your cars too! Smile

Hello All,

A small update for you...

I gave the engine bay a bit of a clean, not perfect, but looking a lot better than before as it had taken a battering over the winter months:

Also, I picked up some new wheels a couple of days ago. I'm just waiting to get the tyres swopped over and they will be on!

Rota Grid - 17 x 7.5 in Custom Silver:

I will update with fresh pic's when they are on the car.

Cheers for now!

Sparkystav Does look good mate, how did you clean the engine bay?

Cheers!

I covered the main electrical bits with Foil and put a plastic bag around the air filter.
Then sprayed the whole bay with degreaser. Let it soak in for a few min's, then work into all the tight areas with a paint brush and just generally go around the engine bay working in the degreaser.
Then I hosed it all off.
Then gave the whole bay a wipe with a microfibre to dry it up.
Then I used trim restouring gel, with a cloth on all the black plastic/rubber bits.
Finally a bit of autosol metal polish on the rocker cover, just rubbed in with a cloth.

Makes it look much more fresh!

@Pat, I'm coming round, but not to do the engine bay!
