little update, I had the interview today, it went ok, if i'm honest i'm not sure ok was good enough

there were usual interview questions such as why do you want to work for us and what can you offer etc

there were behavioural questions, which I always struggle with, for anyone who hasn't had an interview for so long that they haven't come across behavioural questions, they are questions that ask how you reacted to situations in the past, as this is a way to predict how you may react in future situations

questions such as describe a time you had to deal with conflict between yourself and a colleague

now most people can relate a situation they have been in, to the question, but I have problem thinkin of something quickly enough and find myself babbling, lol

so if i'm honest I am not confident on this one, and may have to put up with my cack job for a little while longer

big update

I GOT THE JOB Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin

I got a call this afternoon asking if i'd heard from the Orange recruitment team, which I hadn't, and the boss said I was successful and I start on 22nd, so i'm over the moon, finally I can start saving for my own place Big Grin

bragged on facebook and some of my 'current' work colleagues read it so word spread at work while it was my day off

I went in to confirm the 'rumours' and to state that I would be glad to work my notice, to be told, "a phone call would have been nice",

to me, going in and telling them in person is as good as a phone call, if not more professional, it was my day off after all, and my facebook status said only that i'd been offered a job, not that I was leaving lol

and i've been there a few months and seen that when that phone rings, it gets left more than it gets answered anyway, but my boss said I was talking rubbish, and I said well I found out about the job this lunch time, and now i'm here telling you about it, so if the phone does or doesn't get answered, i'm not bothered as i've done my bit, (i'm glad i'm goin, they so petty)

now they did say that they needed me to work my shifts which I was happy to do, but then as i'd said I came in rather than phone as it was my day off, they took all my shifts off me, so i'm on hold this week now Big Grin
