heater led swap
heater led swap
To clarify as I understand it (Jay, correct me if I'm wrong):
Moley has supplied an older style unit which is being converted. Once it's done it gets shipped back to Moley who fits it and takes out the still orange one out of his car. The next person with an older style unit buys Moley's orange one and sends it to Jay, and thus the process cycles.
When Jay's done with Moley's one, I'll send him the newer style unit I have for conversion. When Jay sends it back, I'll do the same as Moley and sell on my orange one to the next person needing one of the newer style.
All make sense? So Jay (the funky one anyway) would get his mitts on Moley's (older style) and Dean would get his mitts on mine (newer style). Each in turn sends it off to Jay in Sweden, and so on.
And on and on goes the process...
right.
Can we start a queue (list). I am more than happy to post to sweden. How much are the bulbs etc anyway. I'm sure Jay (the Swedish one) would appreciate a beer token.
J
Well I am going to be sending my old one back to Jay .
This was the reason I bought one in the first place , then Jay can have a spare to work on . Then Jay can sell on the finished unit for payment & exchange .
so i guess the list gets started, i would like to know the style ( old type or new ) and colour so i can look into buld ordering some leds
moley paid 6 pounds with it in a box with bubble wrap and news paper.
so people have pm,d me and asked how this will work and i'm not to sure how it's going to work but 2 people have asked me to do there's and have brought a heater unit each from e-bay, 1 old type and one new.
moley has said he will send me his old type one after he has his new one fitted as has the other person, this means i will have one of each to make up and send off to the next person. they then send me there on so i can do the same to it and so on. the leds work out to 16 pounds for 30 and i use around 28 plus 2 normal ones for the clock. the picture i posted has 8 on there now and needs one more to finish it off. and then there are 3 parts to do so 3x9 = 27 plus the clock. there is also 4 small leds for the switches in the center of the dials and these will also be blue
hope this helps
Right, in my simple mind, this means each unit becomes your 'asset or stock'. I ship my amber unit to you, plus cost of LEDs, your beer and shipping of the blue one. In theory I don't have to buy one off eBay.
I get it now. phew!
OK.... List wise:
1. Moley - Old style - Blue LEDs - In progress
2. DaveEdin - New Style - Blue LEDs
3. FunkMasterJay - Old Style - ???? LEDs
4. MarsdenDean - New Style - ???? LEDs
Copy/paste to add your name and/or LED preferences, think Jay had said red, blue, green or white were the options.
