dodgydave Well the posty delivered a parcel today.

So if anyone's got a copy of the instructions they could scan for me I would be much obliged and I am going to need some advice on how best to fit these without the kit; I know a lot of people have done it.

i've got instructions but no scanner, but I can post, however I didn't use my kit, just the screws for the arches, theres 2 screws for the top of each end, and 2 for the bottom

make sure the car is clean and free from grease along where the side skirts will sit.

(I actually taped the skirts ready a few days before fitting so I know it was well attached to the skirts beforehand)

I stuck vhb tape all along the top edge of each skirt, and screwed just the bottom screw on each end, this allows you to rotate the top edge of the skirt away from the body work, very easy to position it before removing the backing from the vhb tape,

I supported the skirt in the middle when I removed the backing tape (so it didn't bow) and held it for as long as I had patience to just sit on the driveway (about 20 mins), then I did the other 2 screws and tightened them all

good weather for a couple of weeks helped too

on one end, i'm not sure which, the top screws don't line up, theres a metal clip with the fitting kit which sits in that does line up, Ormi mentioned in a recent thread that he'd made a couple for someone but I can't find it

Thanks everyone for your help and comments and Fry-up don't worry about the instructions. With all the comments and various threads on the fitting of these I think I've got enough info. Also if the fitting instructions are the same as the ones I've got with my front lip then they're about as much use as a chocolate fire guard anyway.

The one thing I'm still not sure of is whether you do anything with the bit that goes underneath the sill. Do you stick this with tape to the underside of the sill or not?

Don't have to, no. Mine aren't fixed in any way underneath, neither are Ormi's...

mine aren't either, but they don't sit against the sill underneath, the fitting kit includes a few plastic spacers but for mt thats a faff, as with the others who haven't attached underneath, vhb along the top edge and the screws on each end should be more than enough

when you come to actually fit them you'll see how easy it is
