My IS-F felt like it was driving in a crosswind when I drove back from WIM last week after having two new Michelin Super Sports fitted to the rear, but that stopped after the 'newness' wore off after around 60 miles of m-way.

IS 200 Sport with a few mods, Standardish IS-F. The IS250 SE-L with a few mods has gone to a new home.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

You have said that jemca sidcup confirmed slight vagueness. Throw the car back at them and let them sort. Is the car under warranty still?
If it is then it should not be your worry. Sounds harsh but why should you be doing all the groundwork.

Yes that vagueness was sorted out with the rack replacement but now its not the vagueness its the not 'planted' feeling and driving in the crosswinds as you hit 70mph

Definitely take it to another dealer, it's a pain I know but you need fresh eyes and a new perspective to sort this out, can recommend Lexus Woodford if you don't mind travelling a bit.

Tango My IS-F felt like it was driving in a crosswind when I drove back from WIM last week after having two new Michelin Super Sports fitted to the rear, but that stopped after the 'newness' wore off after around 60 miles of m-way.

I just had exactly the same thing when I had a pair of Michelin PS3s fitted to the rear of my car a few days ago (they mentioned someone having the same problem with Super Sports, must have been you!). Took it back as it felt awful and they swapped them with my front tyres. Now the front end isn't that sharp but that's a lot better than a loose rear.

Did it wear off after just 60 miles though? WIM told me to leave it for a 1000 miles and then swap them back, do I not need to wait that long?

it was a nightmare driving to WIM and back with the car feeling like shite. I had the car initially looked at by Lexus Canterbury who couldnt fault the car and when i took it to Lexus Sidcup they admit there was something wrong with the steering and was replaced but now its this issue
