Very sad day for me on Friday on my way home for the weekend on the M25 when I wrote my car offf... Not been on the forum for much longer than a fortnight but still feel ashamed.

Between junction 29-30 Clockwise on the M25 I went into the back of a new BMW X5 (Owner worked for Lexus) as he stopped. I wasn't concentrating, totally my fault.Confusedad: The X5 wasn't too badly damaged as it had a tow bar on the back. I had to climb out of the window to get out as the door was a little twisted, and took ages to pull it out of gear as well.

The recovery agency kicked off big time because my insurers had not told them that my car was lowered, and they scraped the hell out of the underside getting it onto the front lifter.

Had a long weekend of sorting out a new car from what little money I have in my savings. Bad times all round. Just thought I should post it up so that you dont think I've grown tired of the forums.

 Bad news mate, bad news...

What kind of car you looking for? Dan is selling his IS200 (DanTurismo), think he was looking for around a grand - he wants a Supra and is going to see one at the weekend...

If you were insured fully comp, then you should get a payout on your car as well, shouldn't you?

IS200 Sport - Sold
Mazda 6 MPS - Zoom Zoom!

Modifications
Completed:

Currently 280bhp/295lbft; 3" Meercat custom exhaust; KW Suspension; FMIC; SSP; HPFP; Custom Stainless Steel Dials - for the moment, the only set in the world!! (Till the group buy for MPSOC anyway  )

In Progress:

E-Tuning remap ongoing via Cobb Accessport; Braided brake lines; Stubby aerial; Tinted repeaters and sidelights; 3 Port Boost Control Solenoid; 3" HTP Intake

Oh mate thats bad news.
we all loose concentration now and then so thats why insurance exists!! So long as you and others are fit and healthy thats what really matters.

totally worn out and broken, shouting 'Holy ****, WHAT A RIDE!'"

Yeah fully comp, and i should be getting a payout for the car and my coilovers (which is taking a lot of harassing them to sort it out).

I dont think I'll get another Lex, it wont be the same second time around. I'm tempted by an Mk1 Mx5 as they wont ruin me financially at the moment. Cheers for the heads up about Dan's IS200 though, appreciated.

If anyone wants some of my old IS200 bits, theyre going for free.
I've got the 3 back head rests from the back seats (black leather).
The entire boot lining & retaining plastic pins
OEM suspension (whatever was taken out to fit coilovers)

I may have some lights to sell, but if so there will be a new thread in the correct sub forum...

Ouch dude that sucks. As others have said, the main thing is that you and anyone else in the car are OK. Kinda stomach churning to see that picture, especially when it looks like your lex was well cared for.

You'll be back in the driving seat soon enough though. Don't let it get you down and dont take the first offer from your insurance co.

Sorry sorry to see your pride and joy in that state.

Car looked real in good condition before the accident.

As Moley said can you not get the coilovers off your get a fair price for them.
