Went to hop in the car this evening only to be greeted by "click...click....click". Battery was totally flat as a pancake!

Only thing I could see that could have caused it was I accidentally left the boot ajar. Could this, combined with not using the car for 4 days have been enough to drain the battery flat?

Jeez. I'd have thought a duracell could power that poxy little bulb for longer than that lol.

Lesson learned. Out comes the bulb.

I thought about getting a small motorbike sized sealed battery in the boot, and have it twin charged and attached to the starter, so if your main battery goes flat youve got enough juice to turn the engine over and get started

surely a motorbike battery will not have enough amps to even get the starter motor to budge would it??

probably yes mate tbh, running the extra electrics takes it toll on the battery especially if the engines not been running it can be dead in 20minutes on the battery mines on at the moment, have to be very carefull not to forget to turn the engine on so it wastes petrol as well, plus cant get the best out of the sound of the sound system when the engines on, ive been wanting to put an extra battery in somewhere but they are normally too bulky and didnt want to loose my spare wheel out the boot just in case and theres not anywhere else to put one unless i change my whole setup which i havent the funds to do yet, but now stavs let slip about the gtr battery being tiny i might look at that as an option to see if i can hide one somewhere and its not super expensive

Sounds like I've actually got a half decent battery then. I've had the stereo on for about 3hrs before turned up loud while washing the car!
