Ps3 60gb fan goes on full blast after 15min
I've tried it upright and also lying down. Same issue.
Any advice?
As te title says. Unit has been hardly used but no one can tell me what's wrong with it. I can use it for hours on end with no issues apart from the fan sounding like it's gonna take off. There is no dust at all in the unit.

unless you can take the unit apart and see if there is any resistance if you try and move the fan blades on there own ?
sounds like a component on the thermal circuit has cooked ?

the heat will make it spin faster to keep cool, there is a walk through on how to open up the unit, a good idea to do this if your guarantee has finished and replace the heat paste and give it a good clean, you can follow this guide most of the way or search on the forum for a heat sink walkthrough
