Dont do it buddy.

I went to look at these when they first came out and the build quailty was very poor in my view.

I would never waste my time until they get there quality improved.

Worth taking a look at imho - the thing to note is that it's the complete opposite of a drivers car, it is properly american, good for cruising but not if you want to throw it through some twisties.

The interior quality is a bit iffy, it's a bit plasticky and doesn't feel great, but the car is actually pretty solid - it's essentially a 1st gen Merc SLK underneath and a lot of the parts were the same.

They are a pretty looking car and do not know much about other than the interior quality lets it down.

It's the same 3.2 V6 as in the 1st gen SLK320. The SRT-6 has the same engine as the SLK32 AMG (3.2 supercharged V6).

It really is just an SLK in a different body, even built by the same people in Germany.

Hmmmm good prices too at the mo due to petrol prices I reckon, everything above a 2.4 engine prices are dropping like flys.
Theres a few on trader at he mo around the £5k region 7-8 years old, 60k on the clock not too bad.
Are interiors that bad? they have leather, elec seats all the usual perks, nut having an is for sooo long dont think anything £20k will beat it on interior and dash looks Smile

Sorry to keep saying this but the interior's exactly the same as a 1st gen SLK - just the materials aren't as nice as the Merc equivalent. Best to check one out Smile

Go for an SRT-6 if you can, those things are sub-5s to 60 I think.

Still in 2 minds about these as eyeing up 350z's although a lot of what car, msn car reviews are placing them quite similar in ratings, the 350z steals it but not by much only just better handling and ride.
I think the lex will be going up for sale rather shortly with a very heavy heavy heart Sad, I was think putting her up for £2500 that's what Parkers.co.uk have a x plate with 120k on in good condition, what you guys think?
