Hi all,

Recently I bought a set of two bonnet struts for something around 60 something AUD. They came from Taiwan and for the money they will probably do the job. Well, i hope so.
Has anyone bought them before? Were they easy to install? I remember seeing a thread here some time ago about them but I cant find it.

Cheers

Most people have the FIGS ones, although seeing as they're some pieces of cut metal and a pair of struts I can't see there being massive differences between different kits Smile

I bought some a while back. Only problem I had was clipping the ABS actuator. I adjusted the bracket a little and it works fine.

Cheap as chips and I've had no problems since they were put on, just takes a few seconds to fully open up.

Vicki bought me some bonnet struts, very pleased with them but they was not a 5 min fit as said on the packet. The brackets had to be cut as they were hitting on the safty catch at the back of the bonnet..got it done in the end and im very happy with them, I will find ut where she got them

I have a set of figs on my is200, the only prob i fiind with them is you have to hold the bonnet while its going up not like the gilrfriends coupe wwhere you can let it go up on its own!
First time i opened the bonnet just after fitting them i thought it was going to throw it over the fecking roof of next doors house, there's no slow release just whip! Unless mine were fecked from the off start!
