If been modifying cars since i was 17 (9 years) and one thing iv noticed since owning the is200 is there are just no second hand parts, in the past iv owned all sorts of vauxhalls and bms and iv always been able to find a mass of second hand parts ie suspension, wheels/any thing you need but with the lexus theres nothin, anyone else noticed this people just dont split car/break them, or sell parts and buy new ones. Its something iv never come across

Believe it or not, I think there are more parts available now than there have ever been, but they are just less common than BMW etc. and therefore less car sales = less 2nd hand parts. But as the Rabs said, their reliability causes less to be scrapped and supply 2nd hand parts. Though also due to the reliability, there is often no need for replacement parts!

I find the forum very useful, I have had many parts from fellow members of this forum and, shall we say, a previously popular Lexus forum that I can't recall the name of right now.

Some of the rarer upgraded parts, such as ARBs and Supercharger and turbo kits are often snapped up in hours of becoming for sale by fellow members. Chrome heater control rings are rare as rocking horse poop and those members who really want them know who has them! (That did not mean to sound a threat!)

Keep an eye on the for sale section, but also post in the wanted section for what you need. I expect a few members (me included... soon) are breaking a car, or have garages full of spares.

Confusedad: It was a tough call to make, but the Supercharged IS200 is being retired. Confusedad:

I well you won't get new for less, and those who fit them tend to keep them so they are rare used. Post in the wanted section though, you never know.

If my maths is correct then there are 3,435 IS200's less on the UK roads than there used to be, so you'd imagine there are a few second hand spares available somewhere.

Info from: http://www.howmanyleft.co.uk/?q=IS200

...and as a matter of interest there's apparently there's only one (1) Lexus LFA licensed for the road in the UK.

IS 200 Sport with a few mods, Standardish IS-F. The IS250 SE-L with a few mods has gone to a new home.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Really? Are you sure it is accurate? Because I've seen one locally and also you have one. Although you have does some more complex maths, I'm pretty sure that makes more than one?
