Got my car insurance renewal through the post, having paid £559 last year, I'm a year older, car's a year older, and I have an extra year's no claims.

Any ideas how much they want for this year's cover? Smile

bash6673 I reckon about £875.
That's the closest, it's come in at £868!

They have to just be making these numbers up, I'm sure I won't end up paying that after shopping around and haggling with them as I have done every year, so why quote such a silly price hike and one that's by far the biggest hike I've had to date........

parthiban They have to just be making these numbers up.

I think they do.

How can they be competitive knowing full well how financially strapped most motorists are with the cost of fuel and other expenses to keep their cars on the road.

You would think they would realise that once the cost of insurance is worth more than the value of the car then their core business will start to suffer.

Fools taking advantage of tough economic times and blaming it squarly on ambulance chasers.

A convenient excuse.
