Hello from an old new member.
Hello from an old new member.
Some of you will know me from times past, and I have been posting the last week or two. I joined OJC on the day of it's launch, but have been absent for almost the entire two years since. This was mainly due to not having a Jap car, and for a year, not having a car at all. But now I am back, so I just thought I would say hello.
HELLO.
Currently I drive a modified Pug 106, and a modified (for off road) Discovery V8. I was not going to become a real outlaw until I had another Lexus, but have been persuaded! However, I have paid a deposit (to a fellow member) and I will be rocking an IS again by the end of next week.
Knowing how much you all like photos:
The Pug:
Looks fairly subtle, but under the bonnet has this:
Pushing close to 140bhp, with the weight of a Lotus Elise makes for a fun go kart around town.
The Landy, in it's most common state, covered in mud and on the back of a flatbed! Though I drive it to events, I've not yet managed to drive it home again! Reliability is not it's strong point, and at 4mpg neither is economy! (Thought the old girl is a preproduction model and 22 years old.) Though still some of the most fun I have ever had with my clothes on! Will need to be sold this summer, regrettably, in order to further modify my new Lexus!
Getting a bit more Jap for you, my old Lexus, some of you may recognise:
The part I'm most glad I saved "for my next Lexus":
(If the misses knew it was worth £2k+ I'm not sure I would have been allowed to keep it. lol)
Spec of my old Lex listed here: http://www.modifiedcars.com/cars/19466/m...1-pictures if you are interested.
Pics of new Lexus to follow, when I have taken some!
YAY photos.
I recognise the IS200 of course, the Landy looks like great fun.
[COLOR="DarkOrchid"]Welcome back The bits I have heard about your plans for the new Lexus sound exciting, take some tissues and pliers when you collect it cos I think there may be tears and an unwillingness to part with keys lol
