Bandit Something else i find a bit strange is that you still get people stepping out in front of you, As if they can't hear you coming from a mile away

Mines got no sound proofing under the bonnet at the moment, so it does make quite a lot noise :whistling: been trying to get a video of it, but for some reason when i pull away the camera shuts the mike off, as if its too loud for it? so need to get out with the better camera and try it again

Haha I had a similar issue with my camera. Problem with mine though was that as soon as I took it down the motorway, the wind force would push the lens back into the camera and the camera would close the little cover thingy and switch off.

In the end I had to selotape the lens open!!

 i've been using one of the small keyring cams, like this CLICK ME pic quality isn't too bad but need to cover the mic with something to get rid of the wind noise?

This is a vid i did with it when i had my Celica..CLICK ME
Might have to buy another one and see if its just the camera itself that keeps cutting the sound? now got bits of velcro on the mirror, so i can put it on when i'm out

Lexus IS200 Sport Navigator (Now being stripped again)

Thats pretty decent quality tbh. Well definitely perfectly fine for YT.

Would be quite cool to get 2-3 of those cams and have one inside trained on speedo, one outside (maybe on roof or bonnet) and then one in a really arty-farty position like underneath car with the drive shaft and rear wheels in view.

Oh how I miss the sound of a charger. Hopefully not too long now and I can get it back! The attention it gets is certainly interesting. Drawing comments from, "What the F*** is wrong with your engine?" to "That sounds like a milk float on steroids!" I ran with an HKS Silent exhaust before, so ALL the noise was from the front. I will be interested to hear it with a louder pipe on.

GoPro HD seem to be the cameras of choice. I have mates who use them for snowboarding and mountain biking as well as car use. One mate has 3 or 4 of them! When well processed and edited, the results can be quite professional. VIDEO LINK

Confusedad: It was a tough call to make, but the Supercharged IS200 is being retired. Confusedad:

GoPro cameras are amazing, they're rapidly becoming the defacto in-car camera. Rogue used them exclusively for in-car footage over the Britcar 24hr race and I was really impressed with the results. I want one for my birthday

I've been salivating over the GoPro's on eBay. Not sure I can justify the cost though as once you add the price of a correct mount to the package, they do seem to cost a few bob.

Would be quite handy to have some more discreet cams that could be hidden a bit easier too. I would be quite worried at getting pulled by the police and having to explain why I had a camera strapped to my car.

"This Officer? It's to provide reliable evidence for my insurance company should I be unfortunate enough to be involved in a road traffic accident. It can also be used for the purposes of public safety and crime prevention. Is something you disagree with Officer?"
