IT's a tough old world matey - 12 inch thick skin is the bare minimum requirement (especially if you work with the people I work with!!)
Not like he had to spend a lot, just bought a non-white shirt and a dark pair of jeans
Then he looked a bit more human (well, like the rest of us anyway) :wink:

This includes harassment, bullying, inappropriate behaviour etc.
Now I work in an engineering environment, have worked in an engineering environment all my working life along with about 90% of the people I work with. When I was an apprentice it was your job to take all the pi$$ taking and joking and it follows that any new apprentices then get it from you, it's all part of the learning process.
So you can imagine most peoples reaction to this news that we are not allowed to take the pi$$ out of our colleagues in case it offends or even if someone over hearing us take the pi$$ is offended.
Our company is obviously just protecting itself against any future law suit but needless to say we have been warned.

There are laws that have been around for a long time to protect people from harassment and bulling but apparently the law was tightened up last year and all companies are now getting very concerned about being taken to court if an employee reports anything and then nothing is done about it.
