You may as well put a 1JZ in the work is surprisingly similar.

The question that first jumps to mind is, Why? There doesn't seem a lot of point dropping in an Altezza lump. It would be far easier and cheaper to put an IS200 interior in an Altezza... there you go, exact same car!

Confusedad: It was a tough call to make, but the Supercharged IS200 is being retired. Confusedad:

Stoney is right it'd be much easier & cheaper to sell the IS and buy an Altezza and then buy and fit the lexus interior.

Was Supercharged Racing Green IS200 Sport. Now APR Stage 1 Seat Leon Cupra (220 Bhp).

My original point still applies. Easier option for the same vehicle on your drive! 90+% of the parts are identical anyway.

Yeah, this is what I am planning at the min. Been looking for a couple of years at the best option for getting more power from as IS200, and to be honest the easist option is to buy a tezza or a 300 and swap my bits on to it. Both models have dropped loads in price recently. So waiting till my insurance to drop enough to afford one, and making sure I only buy bits for my current 200 that are interchangable. Then when I find the right one, and I can afford to insure it. Buy it swap all the bits over, and then flog on my old one. Defo the most cost effective way IMO.

The manual IS200 gearbox (J160) is identical with the Altezza mate. I believe engine installation will be easy. Harness wiring might be a bit difficult. Make sure you get an egine together with an ecu and harness.

Same gearbox, different bell housing and starter is on the other side to the is200 the altezza swap is far from easy, the different bell housing moves the gearbox position, making it necessary to shorten the prop shaft, adapt the gear lever position........ the list goes on and on.
