Told you they'd be impressed This thread is just as fascinating the second tiime round and I am very happy to see how much further you got with it since our TPM days
haha cheers Sam, ad yup you did tell me and I approached that with a disproved scepticism! Thank you very much, I still get the same kicks every time I post up an introductory Thread like this for it. I get a chance to remind myself of all that has gone into her
Yeh since TPM she has been transformed, such a shame they went down. I have been trying to get into a writing position in the aforementioned Magazines so we will see how that all goes

A brilliant write up there and it's so refreshing to see a youngster so into a classic Jap car rather than just adorning their French cr4p with go-faster add-ons.
Reminds me of when I first got interested in cars although it was a mini I had back then. It's the only way to do it, get stuck in and learn as you go. You might make a few mistakes along the way but that's what learning is all about.
I look forward to seeing more of this project in the future.

Wow, a lot of blood sweat and tears gone into that one! Brilliant write up and amazing work
Thank you both very much. Way too many tears have gone into this.. and I'm about to add more.
I started building the engine again with my mate and the main bearings all went in fine but the Rod Bearings are far too small.... so they're not meant to fit any generation of 4A-GE. I have the smaller 40mm Bearings on an 11Kg crank, the only mix up could have been with the bigger 42mm Bearings on an 11.7Kg Crank. They honestly have managed to get it wrong in terms of the engine.... great.

Great read mate, loved it, really nice to see someone do they own work on the car too.
Keep up the good work mate, i know how it feels every time you get somewhere you get knocked back down again, mine was a nightmare
Looking forward to the updates !
Cheers mate And of course! I am playing it right now in fact! Just waiting for those Bearings to arrive.. again... and piecing together the second half of the Montage Video I made for the GTi, if anyone's interested I can post it up here
