What does it mean if my spark plug looks like this...
Changed my spark plugs today, not sure if they needed to be changed or not but can't hurt if not. Changed them to Denso IK20's.
However when I took out one of the plugs it looked like this...
It didn't take as much force to undo this one either, so was it just loose and got covered in oil?
which one was it?
looks reasonable dry at the bottom so coming from the top?
It was number 4 if you count from the front (nearest the radiator).
It was oily all the way down but some of it rubbed of because I was putting the protecter caps from the new plugs onto the old ones as I changed them.
And the rubber part of the coil pack had a lump of congealed oil stuck on the very bottom of it too.
However using my CSI skills I could tell from the pattern of splatter (getting finer the higher it went) that at some point it looks as if some oil has sort of...poofed out from around the thread or something
It's more likely oil spillage pooling around the plug, and if the plug was loose as you say it was, the compression from the cylinder has leaked around the thread and caused the spray pattern.

Na itll be ok just keep an eye on it...but from what I see it's not bad enough to worry about
