dodgydave I seem to have a hole missing on my radiator panel.

I have another bolt just in front of the air intake.

It's not a problem I can drill another hole but was just wondering is this unique to me or have all IS200s got this bolt?

It seems to be holding something underneath the panel, a plastic thing.

the panel is based around the carbon fibre 1 I have on my car and the c one panel which only had the 5 fixing holes across the top, and is also based around my car which never had this bolt fitted when I got the car, don't know why ??

some other panels have extra holes in them for other fixings some I didn't see the point in doing as ruined the look of the panel, I'm also missing the front clip on my grill and have a custom bracket holding the bonnet catch in place so didn't want to guess where the front hole is syou see on other panels

I wanted to keep this as clean looking as possible

most people just remove the extra bolts

sprinter2012 Which although it looks important, serves no purpose whatsoever other than to cover up the underside of the bonnet release cable.

So I think my car will manage fine without it. Smile

I'm pretty sure it also acts as a tamper proof cover for the wires leading to the bonnet alarm switch.

Technically without that piece it _might_ be easier to short the bonnet alarm wires and pop the hood, all from the grill area.

I'm definitely happy with mine.

There was no random bolt on my car. I just had a clip holding the bonnet release cable to the bodywork. I just removed it.

So I fitted my radiator panel yesterday.

Looks great I think.....

I just drilled a new hole for the offending bolt and another one where a plastic bit sticks up and clips over.

Here.......

I need to clean up and respray my radiator brackets now, I gave them a little touch up but I know I can do better with them; it's just a matter of time.

Thanks Sprinter and Robin.

I have a few panels at the moment if anybody is looking for 1, They have not been anodised yet so I can have them done any colour you want.
