I'm considering getting my S/C rebuilt as the seals ideally need replacing and some of the bearings are a tad noisy. I can pick up a complete rebuild kit from the USA for about £200, but pulling the charger apart and sliding pulleys/bearings on and off shafts with really tight tolerances is going to be difficult without access to some decent tools.

Anybody know anybody that knows anybody that might be able to do this if I bung them a few?

I was thinking of dong my TTE one before fitting, as it has been "rested" for a while. Though was unsure about doing it myself, and didn't really know if it needed doing or not!

I dare say one of the more mechanically minded members will be able to assist you with this though Jim.

Confusedad: It was a tough call to make, but the Supercharged IS200 is being retired. Confusedad:

Hoping so. Otherwise my hand might be forced into getting a bigger blower:whistling:

All about the power band man....

(I want a taller, longer, bigger one) :whistling:

But seriously I'd be more than happy with a rebuild of my one. Especially as I can get higher rated bearings so I can spin the charger faster meaning I can hit peak boost lower down the RPM range, and then cap it off with a bypass valve until I go fully forged internals.

To think I remember Jim once said that he was "allowed to spend on the car until the baby came along"

I sense that statement has been overturned somewhat...
