Well this is the start of me modding my car...

Yes, at first it may appear that I have just fitted a TRD leather gear knob. But if you were to look deeper, you would find one of these...

Yes, yesterday I randomly decided to fit a B&M short shifter kit to my mostly standard car. It was harder, and more time consuming, than I thought, but still not too difficult. Most problems were due to restricted space in there. I only got one shot of the fitting...

The throw is short, very short, aprox one inch (so 2" from 1st to 2nd) and a lot firmer, with no play whatsoever. A flick of the wrist is all that is needed to change gear. I really do like it, it makes the car feel a lot more sporty to drive (even if I am running stock bhp at the moment!)

To add a little TRD to the car I popped on the leather know, and also an uprated rad cap...

Ok, so admit it... who's looking at that rusty bolt and thinking how it needs changing... and who's just checking out the reflection of my abs and nipple?

Funny story Stav... your guide you wrote on installing these is very good. I would have been more use to me if I read it before, rather than after, I fitted mine! But I had no web where I was and phone signal was poor. I figured it out though. The hardest bit was refitting the stock one to the car the B&M came off.

Is that why the clips on the top of the carpet were not properly clipped on underneath the centre console then?

Do you mean the shortshifter? Not sure how you can like the look of it? As it cannot be seen when fitted! I am not sure if they make them anymore. But if you search for "B&M shifter IS200" you may be able to find one online somewhere.

EDIT: Just did a quick google search and a place called DC performance are listing one at £250+ though check with them before ordering, as it looks different to mine (the photo may be generic though.)

cause i can like the look of it, doesnt have to be a physical look, i'll rephrase: I like the sound/idea/concept of one of these.

thanks i'll look around, although heard the TRD one is smoother so will see if there are any of those still around.

Anyone know if Dave from ****** is still about?
