6x9 Speaker Replacement..
Dinho, I'm amping my Infinity References. There are loads of brands like JBL etc. The guy I bought mine off had a ICE'd Golf with a quality build. He just changed the design a bit. Now that you have mentioned it I should really test them LOL.
Hey dinho, no I have always amped speakers so no issues there.
i think you might find wiring up the amp is easier than you thought. Toyotas are great for engine bay grommets. behind the battery there is a bung than appears behind the dash. If I could run an amp power cable AND cables for a A'Pexi Power FC standalone ECU through the grommet of a T23 Celica, the IS200 should be a doddle.
My main concern now is how to mount the 6 x 9's. do i need to glue, drill new holes or use nuts and bolts. That's the question i'm still waiting to be answered.
Dinho Jay hows your 6x9's goin, have you installed them yet? Ive bought mine so will soon be installed hopfully at the weekend! Did you have to take the seats out?
edeath I replaced the rear 6x9s with Hertz ones and lost bass but gained sound quality. They were run directly from the head unit though.

@dinho - No I have not installed it yet. I did the front components a couple of weeks ago, but suspension and brakes have kinda taken priority. Once they are done, I will probably do it this weekend.
@stoney - I have a pair of spacers so it should be fine.
Out of interest, what dampers did you use for the bootlid?
