Hi guys

so i have bought AJ's charger, being delivered tomorrow.

I have a few questions,

i have found a tte install guide but kinda basic anyone got more detailed guides?
in the guide it says to cut and hammer the heat shield into shape, would it not just be better to take it off?

Aj's blackbox went a year ago or somat so he got a dastek chip, the only thing is im not sure what wires in the ecu i need to splice or cut into, anyone else got one? are they any good, what are you guys using?

also i think i read somewhere the clutch fluid resovoir has to be moved or piped into the brake one, or its in the way of the air box, is this the case and how would it be done, or is there a air intake i can get or make up, ive seen a few people with them, not sure if its bought or made up, alto i guess its only a 135 or 180 bend and a straight pipe with a cone on the end as i have a greddy 1 and would like to use that if i dont use the tte air box.

Anyway when it comes tomorrow il give it a good sort out and lay it out in the garage ready for when im 100% and have everything to get it how i want.

Are you installing the airbox or the induction kit? if the latter you dont need the adaptor.

as for the Chip, put up a pic of what it is when it lands but i can help with the wiring.

you can take the heat shield off but its there for a reason, you just cut it out with tin snips or a hacksaw

Bring the kit along to JAE and you'll have plenty tech support there... Just bring some currency (the drinkable liquid kind) and I'm sure you'll have all the help you need...

IS200 Sport - Sold
Mazda 6 MPS - Zoom Zoom!

Modifications
Completed:

Currently 280bhp/295lbft; 3" Meercat custom exhaust; KW Suspension; FMIC; SSP; HPFP; Custom Stainless Steel Dials - for the moment, the only set in the world!! (Till the group buy for MPSOC anyway  )

In Progress:

E-Tuning remap ongoing via Cobb Accessport; Braided brake lines; Stubby aerial; Tinted repeaters and sidelights; 3 Port Boost Control Solenoid; 3" HTP Intake

Bandit's guide in the Workshop area to fitting a black box should identify the ECU wires required.

Rabs, I am after silicone hoses for charger kit... though must be blue!

Confusedad: It was a tough call to make, but the Supercharged IS200 is being retired. Confusedad:

Rabs, can you PM me which hoses you have and which you don't and we can probably do a deal. By the time JAE comes around you may have half your garage in a box for me!

As for the intake, I don't know if they can be bought anymore? But they can certainly be made up. It has been done, if you have a real good forum search you should find some details. But essentially, any combinations of silicone piping and/metal to connect the charger intake to a filter, usually placed directly behind the headlight, should do the trick!

Most people with black box failure use an HKS FCD, but one member has made a black box replacements, and is, I believe, making more for sale. (It's Patrick in Sweden, again have a search, probably in the IS200 Charged section of the forum for more details.) though if the previous owner of your kit had a solution that worked, you should be ok to run with that.

lookatmybiceps well i was guna get some exhaust heat wrap will that be ok i dont really want to mutilate the heat shied.

Would probably offer as much heat protection, though I'm not expert in these things. I don't think the heat shield mod should be too much of a problem for you to do though, and if you wish to return to stock at some point, a new one can be sourced from a scrappy, and a dare say a member or two on here would have an intact one laying around somewhere too!
