Stoney Most people with black box failure use an HKS FCD, but one member has made a black box replacements, and is, I believe, making more for sale. (It's Patrick in Sweden, again have a search, probably in the IS200 Charged section of the forum for more details.)
That's me Smile

I successfully made one for myself and today I'm sending my second BB to a guy in Norway who is tired of the HKS FCD low rev jerking.

lookatmybiceps you got any pictures of the induction it, what parts need you need to make it up?

I've used a 63mm 180 silicone bend, a length of stainless pipe that i got from b&q (stainless table leg) cheaper buying it from there than most places mate, and then it depends on which filter you use for the other end? my Apexi needed a 70mm to 60mm reducer so it fitted on the stainless pipe? works fine though

If that Dastek gismo works exactly like an FCD, then you may be better off sourcing a Black Box from Patrick. The FCD prevents the ECU seeing too much boost and failing, but it is not ideal... the Black Box is!

You should not need the clutch conversion kit unless running the airbox, I don't think?

You used to be able to buy induction kits like mine, but not sure if they are available anymore? Though easy enough to make, as Bandit describes.

Confusedad: It was a tough call to make, but the Supercharged IS200 is being retired. Confusedad:

Anyone any idea on the wiring, If it wires like the fcd , the 2 wires are for the sensor, wire into the ecu, and wire away from the ecu is this likely to be the brown wires?
or 1red and brown for 12v +,- and the other red and brown for sensor, or is it totally different to wiring it like this, is there anyway to find out what the wires could be ive done alot of internet reserch but no Help? its just i wanna start instaling the charger this weekend but if i cant figure this dastek thing out its not guna run right.

well if anyone has any info or ideas let us know.

To be honest, I know nothing of these units. It could be a case of trial and error! If the previous own had it fitted, should they not know? Or whoever removed it? In these situations I like to take a photo for future reference! (Before removing.)

yeah i was thinking of doing that as theres only 4 ways it could go in but i dont want to damage the chip or ecu buy say wiring 12v + into a sensor wire or something like that,
Rabster removed it but cant remember which way it was.
