nice, TOXO, i'll check him out, see if he can help with that, the electronics may be tricky but it would simplify the system overall! Smile cheers for that map info too, i'll check out a 3bar one i think! i got a set of super advans for Tess too, they look sick on mr2's, im hopin they look that good on mine, nice ride man :thumbup: do u know smartdj's mr2?!? (swjcc, not here)

lol, yea, sounds like what i did to the b20, straight into the chamber and controlled by a vaccume sensor that was spare from the crx pump! i got very lucky and it wasn't rite, ahh, when we were kids....

my strongest option so far is actually this set up, but using a boost controller as the sensor and running off pressure instead, with an on/off switch controlling the s/c manualy and connected to the valve itself! (for me the controller will be easier to set up and modify when it is running through a readily adaptable purpose built controller), this would be easy to do but would give me no real controll over the supercharger switch! so basicly i could hit full throttle quickly an the contacts engaging, which would cause the supercharger to cutt out before i have sufficient boost, (which has been a concern over the contact style switch!) so yes, a pressure activated switch is perfect!

in hindsite, now i have really thought about it, these other systems that i will look at, kind of operate in the same way as the hobbs switch i have ordered!! which is cool to know, Smile so controll over the s/c itself has been solved, (i'm just wondering about ways to controll the valve also) so if i can get electronic controll over the valve too i can loose all pressure lines and cables!

i would really rather have an electronic over-ride, but this would further increase electronic complicity?!?:blink:

how hard would it realisticly be to create one of these voltage control switches (from a map sensor) and make it variable, and understandable? so i could adapt it to set up my instalation as and when is needed? for the purpose of controlling a electronic motor on the valve too


i got loads of extra research on other cars systems to do now, which i love almost as much as driving!
