Bonnet Struts / Hood Lifters
Bonnet Struts / Hood Lifters
I have been after some bonnet/hood struts/lifters for a while. As many members have fitted.
I have not found them to be that easy to come by. FIGS makes a kit, but it's expensive, and I'm not certain on the availability. I have found these:

and in carbon:

I just wanted to ask if anyone knew of any others available, from the UK maybe, as the sooner the better for me.
i had those kits on the lex they work but you need to shift the ABS block over a small amount and cut the brackets down as they are a pit Pony
Figs did offer us a group buy on the struts last year but there just wasnt the intrest
I got the 1's of ebay and sent them back was not happy with them at all
I ended up getting Figs engineering 1's, took about 20mins to fit with no problems at all

jomo Well your the only one LOL! I got the figs and they fouled the ABS block, having to make me turn the fittings around and adding spacers to one side, also the drivers wheel-well fitting twisted every time the bonnet was opened and closed as there's a gap where the tab goes down to "stop the twisting!" so i had to add a block spacer to that as well!
Don't get me wrong the work just fine, but i think if i was selling/making these as a business i'd be expecting shed loads back!
I think they need to fit a set to an IS200 in their work shop and just see who they could be made better, trust me they COULD be made to fit much better!!!

I got mike's from RS Imports (or RS Tuning, can't quite remember) they're carbon ones and had to have the brackets angle grinded but other than that they're fine
